Ukraina 9. mars. Oppdatering

Svært mange svake grupper blir jo igjen i bomberegnet flere steder i Ukraina, men her er noen kommet i sikkerhet.

«Our white van is just hours away from the Slovakian border and several of our kids with disabilities and their families are on it. Praise God we are still able to find diesel as gasoline is almost impossible to find now. We are trying to get gas they can carry so our blue van can continue to go to Ternopil and then to Lviv to the Polish border, pick up more aid and bring it back.

Our blue van will, probably, be leaving for Ternopil tomorrow or the next day.

We are still searching for ways to get aid from Slovokia – right now we are buying much of what they are bringing back. We found out today that if we can find a driver 60 or older, they can cross into Slovokia where we can get more things and hopefully some humanitarian. Please pray that we will be able to find a good driver (I know a family who has several drivers this age, but I don’t know yet whether they will be willing to make this trip. We are willing to pay them to do it if necessary). Norway is going to send a truck with humanitarian aid to Ternopil and part of it will be for us.

A wonderful young man who was part of an Impact trip several years ago is helping us find ways to get aid – he even wrote to Samaritan’s Purse to see if we can work together. He is working on buying some water purification tablets which we can get to Bila Tserkva to be distributed, and many other possibilities. Thanks to God for him.

Today and tomorrow are designated days of prayer for Ukraine – may the whole world flood the throne room of God with our cries for Ukraine, and May He, in His great wisdom and mercy, stop the destruction and killing going on in Ukraine. It’s unbearable to see it, especially the total destruction of towns and villages, and killing of innocent men, women and children.

The latest trip to Slovakia arrived safely tonight – more precious families safely in the West. Thank you all for the prayers which guide them in God’s care all through their long journey.
